Product Overview

The ClearLinks OR™ DCE-0503 DVI extender increases transmission distances of DVI signals up to 700m (2,300 ft).  A transmitter and receiver pair connect via a 4 channel LC multi-mode fiber optic cable to DVI signals.  By using fiber optic cabling instead of copper wire, DVI signal transmission distance is greatly increased with the added benevit of lower cost.

 Features

The DCE-0503  is the first DVI extender to have fiber channel status indicators.  No more wasted time spent checking for broken or improper fiber connections.  LED's on each channel of the RX module illuminate on sensing a valid fiber connection.

Pre-Programmed and self learning versions. 22 pre-programmed graphic and video resolutions on the DCE-0503V1.1. Self learning feature on the DCE-0503V3.0 allows EDID information to be read directly from any monitor to support non-standard resolutions.  Graphic resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 are supported including NTSC & PAL HDTV video resolutions up to 1080p 60Hz.

 Applications

Optical DVI provides high quality, high resolution images over long distances.  The DCE-0503 is immune to electrical interference and produces negligible RFI/EMI emissions so it will not interfere with sensitive equipment.  UL/cUL/EN60601-1-2 certification makes it perfect for OR integration as well as medical imaging, military, airport, security, digital signage, and AV applications.
